Home values to climb, CMHC says

The average price for a single-family home sold in Prince George will continue to climb over the next two years, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation is predicting.

The average price for a single-family home sold in Prince George will continue to climb over the next two years, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation is predicting.

By the end of this year, the average sale price will have been $269,000, up from $259,228 over 2013, CMHC said in its fourth quarter outlook issued Thursday.

And over the course of 2015, CMHC said the average price will work out to $277,000, rising to $285,000 in 2016.

As of the end of the third quarter, the average sale price was $273,006, compared to $261,315 by the same point in 2013.
