Hodges named to ABCFP

Prince George forest consultant Ken Hodges has been named to the Association of B.C. Forest Professionals (ABCFP) council.

Hodges, who has 37 years of experience as a registered professional forester and operates his own consulting business, took office during the ABCFP's annual general meeting, Feb. 22 to 24, in Victoria.

His operational experience includes silviculture, planning, timber supply, harvesting, tenures and protection and he volunteers extensively with both the ABCFP and the Prince George community, the ABCFP said in a press release.

Hodges is currently the ABCFP's stewardship committee chair and has participated with the tenure task group and mid-term timber supply working group.

In the community, Hodges is a supporter of sports through coaching soccer and softball while more recently participates in teaching kids to ski on local ski hills.
