Hockey for Hospice not what you think

Hockey for Hospice. No, it's not a game. It's cool stuff like a signed Alex Burrows Vancouver Canucks jersey up for silent auction, along with a funky bench made out of hockey sticks.

The Prince George Hospice Society is hosting Hockey for Hospice at the Hospice ReSale Store, 3051 McGill Crescent, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., where there will be new and old hockey cards for sale, some hockey jerseys and other sporting goods. Hospice Dream Home lottery tickets will be available for sale as well.

"We'd really like to bring awareness to the store and I promised the Canucks we'd auction off the jersey to raise some money for Hospice," said Deanna Watson, fund development for the Prince George Hospice Society.

All proceeds support the Prince George Hospice House.
