Highway 97 has been completely reopened north of Hixon following a fatal head-on collision Thursday morning.
Prince George RCMP said two people were killed and another person was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the crash between a car and a mid-sized sport utility vehicle. Police were called to the scene at 9:05 a.m.
Speed appeared to have been a factor, police said.
The scene was closed in both directions for several hours to allow police to gather evidence.
Names of those involved were not released.
