Highway 16 has been opened to single lane alternating traffic 40 kilometres east of Prince George, according to Drive B.C., after the stretch was completely closed this morning due to a collision that has claimed the life of one person.
The collision between an eastbound passenger car and a westbound pick-up truck near Tabor Mountain has resulted in one of the vehicles catching fire.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene shortly before 8 a.m.
