Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the Central Interior.

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the Central Interior.

Strong winds of 60 km/h gusting to 90 km/h are forecast to develop this afternoon through the Chilcotin and the Cariboo and this evening through Prince George and Bulkley Valley and The Lakes - southeast including Burns Lake.

The winds are coming in ahead of an intense Pacific low.

"Winds are expected to ease overnight as the low weakens and moves into Alberta," Environment Canada. "This same Pacific low will also spread moisture into the Central Interior this afternoon. "Snow is expected to develop and become heavy at times over McGregor this evening. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are forecast by Friday morning."
