Heritage Commission seeking new members

The Heritage Commission of Prince George is looking to fill four positions for a two-year term that goes from March 2, 2024 until Feb. 28, 2026.

The Heritage Commission of Prince George is looking to fill four positions for a two-year term that goes from March 2, 2024 until Feb. 28, 2026.

The Heritage Commission is responsible for undertaking heritage education and awareness activities and reviewing and reporting to city council and staff on matters of heritage significance within the city.

The commission meets quarterly in March, June, September, and December, with meetings scheduled on Thursdays from 11a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

In addition to attendance at the quarterly meetings, interested applicants must be willing to participate actively in projects the Heritage Commission undertakes throughout the year such as attending heritage events and workshops, participating in research activities, and attending informal commission work group meetings.
