Here’s who Prince George’s Northern FanCon has caged for 2020 convention thus far

Luke Cage among several guests both new and returning

We are five months away from welcoming the world of pop culture once again to Prince George.

The community rallied in September and raised over $100,000 to bring Northern FanCon back, and since then, the convention’s committee has announced several guests for the sixth annual event May 8-10, 2020.

Perhaps the big headliner slated to visit B.C.’s north thus far is Mike Colter, better known as Luke Cage from the same-titled series on Netflix.

The 43-year-old’s arguable claim to fame has come through his portrayal of the iconic Marvel comics’ character, a man with bulletproof skin, superhero strength and accelerated healing abilities.

Colter currently plays a priest-in-training on CBS’ new show Evil and the role has earned him a Critic’s Choice Award nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series.

He has also played in several recognizable movies and television series, including Zero Dark Thirty, Men in Black 3, The Good Wife and The Defenders, where he reprises his Luke Cage persona.

This will be Colter’s first appearance at Prince George’s premier popular culture convention.

Same goes for Degrassi stars Pat Mastroianni (Joey Jeremiah) and Stacie Mistysyn (Caitlyn Ryan), Cosplayer ‘Riddle’ and Jason David Frank, a 225-episode alum of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.

More guests are expected to be announced in the coming months.

For more information and tickets, you can go to Northern FanCon’s website.

Also included on the Northern FanCon 2020 guest list are a number of returning fan favourites, such as:

Marc Bernardin (Screenwriter)

Ming Chen (Podcaster)

Ivy Doomkitty (Cosplayer)

Mark Meer (Cosplayer)

Leeanna Vamp (Cosplayer)
