Remembrance Day events scheduled for this Saturday in Prince George

The Remembrance Day ceremony at the cenotaph at Veterans Plaza at City Hall starts Saturday at 11 a.m.

Saturday, Nov. 11

Prince George Civic Centre - 9:15 a.m. (public to be seated by 8:30 a.m.)

  • Reserved seating available, contact Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 - admin@legion43pg.ca - with group name and approximate numbers attending (rows reserved in blocks of 10).

Parade - assemble along Canada Games Way - 10:15-10:45 a.m.

  • If you would like to march in the parade contact the legion- admin@legion43pg.ca - with group name and approximate numbers attending.
  • If you are only participating in the parade only, be prepared to line up by 10:30 a.m.

Ceremony at Veterans Plaza - 11 a.m.

  • Limited number of wreaths will be placed during ceremony.
  • Flyover by Prince George Flying Club - 11:05 a.m.
  • City Hall cenotaph visitors can place personal poppies/group wreaths after official ceremony.

Refreshment gathering -  Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43 Prince George, Juno Lounge, 101-1116 Sixth Ave.

    • All are welcome, limited seating available immediately after ceremony.
    • Local bands will be playing throughout day.
      • Kenny Mad Dog Maddox 2-5 p.m.
      • Wranglers 8 p.m.-closing
  • Prince George Conference and Civic Centre
    • Hotdogs and hot chocolate served to youth/parents who participated in the parade.
