Another Prince George Senior Lacrosse season has come to a close, which means it’s time to crown a champion.

The Westwood Pub Devils claimed the regular season title in the five-team league, and will be in the hunt for a third straight Dale Rolufs Memorial Trophy.

The final 2019 standings are as follows:

  • 15-1 = Westwood Pub Devils
  • 9-7 = Northland Nissan Assault
  • 8-8 = Mackenzie Lumberjacks
  • 7-9 = RPR Mechanical/JR Construction Bandits
  • 1-15 = Quesnel Crossfire

The only game the Devils lost came six days ago during the final regular-season game at Kin 1 Arena at the hands of the fourth-ranked Bandits 8-7 in overtime.

Both teams will meet in one of the two best-of-three semi-final series, while the other pins the #2 Assault against the #3 Lumberjacks.

That match-up begins next Wednesday (July 3) for the lone game in the District of Mackenzie during the playoffs.

After that contest, the rest of the post-season will take place at Kin 1 Arena with every game starting at 8 p.m.

The two semi-final winners will square off in the best-of-five championship final, which will start July 16.

Quesnel’s team was suspended two weeks ago after failing to put together a full roster and forfeiting several games in the ladder half of the regular season.

Their record at the time was 1-11, forcing the league to reduce the schedule and hand the Crossfire automatic losses in the final four tilts.
