Your Christmas tree will need to go, right? You can let the city recycle it and it'll be reused for another purpose.

On Jan. 5 and 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Prince George Job's Daughters will collect Christmas trees in the CN Centre outer parking lot (2187 Ospika Blvd).

Here's the neat part. Once your tree is put through the chipper and recycled by city crews, the mulch from the trees is put around trees in city parks as well as mixed within planting flower beds in the spring.

You can try to get rid of it on your own, but some of those ways could be dangerous. This way the tree is reused, instead of just sitting in your living room for a few weeks potentially becoming a fire hazard.
