Are you looking for something fun or special to do on Valentine’s Day?
Well, there’s a lot going on in Prince George and we decided to round-up a few events taking place so you can get yourself out of the house on the most romantic day of the year.
Not all of these events have a specific 'Valentine's Day' theme, but they are happening on Friday, Feb. 14 and are a great date night idea or perfect for those who are single and ready to mingle.
PG’s Couple of The Year Competition
Do you remember the Newly Wed Game?
The classic game show that saw couples compete to see who knew who better? Well, this fundraiser called PG’s Best Couple of the Year Competition is just that!
It takes place at the Hart Crown Banquet Hall on Valentine's Day, all the money raised will go to the Prince George Hospice Society and you can get tickets online.
Art Gallery Booze and Build Maker Night
Make, build, create and have some adult drinks with your loved one (or friends) this Valentine’s Day.
Two Rivers Gallery is hosting a Booze and Build Maker Night for Adults on Feb. 14. There’s going to be wine or craft beer and one-of-a-kind activities. Lazer tattoo a banana, make a 3D doodle and explore the exhibitions.
You’ll have to be over 19 years old for this one and tickets are $40 each. It starts at 7 p.m. and runs until 10 p.m., and you can register online.
Things we Love Flash Day at Handsome Cabin Boy
Handsome Cabin Boy Tattoo is hosting a special Valentine's Day Flash Day. Nothing says I love you like a new tattoo, right?
It’s going to be first come-first served, arms and legs only and one tattoo per person.
Also, it’s going to be cash-only so stop at the ATM before you go and if you are 17 or younger you’ll need your parents to tag along. Doors open at 10 a.m.
A Very Potter Pub Night
Some of us really love Harry Potter. So, why not spend Valentine’s Day at a Harry Potter-themed pub night?
Luckily, UNBC Musical productions is throwing another 'A Very Potter Pub Night' for all the muggles to rejoice. There’s going to be trivia and prizes, Quidditch pong, a costume contest and themed drinks!
It takes place at the Thirsty Moose Pub at UNBC.
Open House at the Observatory
What’s more romantic than looking at the stars?
The Prince George Astronomical Society is hosting a Friday Open House Night and it just so happens to be on Valentine's Day, running from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. with viewing if weather permits.
There is also going to be a presentation called 'Constellations of the Zodiac,' starting at 7:30 and again at 9 p.m. Remember to dress warmly because it gets cold out at the observatory.
Two-headed Giant Magic Date Night at Wonderland
If you love Magic the Gathering and want to share it with your sweetheart, then this is the event for you.
Or maybe you already both love Magic and just want to have a fun night out? Well, then this event is also for you. Wonderland is hosting a special date night.
You’ll play a Two-Headed Giant Sealed Tournament, get a party favour, and have some fun. It costs $80 to register a team.
