A 15-year-old Vanderhoof youth known to visit Prince George frequently has been missing for about 10 days.
William Thomas Filiatrault was reported missing Jan. 5 when he did not attend school nor return home.
Police say the youth was seen Jan. 6 at the Vanderhoof Youth Centre and near Stoney Creek Reserve around 3 p.m.
The last confirmed sighting of him was in Vanderhoof at about 10 p.m. Jan. 7 when he is said to have mentioned he was going to Prince George.
Police members have made numerous patrols and inquiries with known associates in the Vanderhoof detachment area with no information provided on the location of William.
William is known to frequent the Prince George Area and Vanderhoof RCMP have also received information that he may have been headed to Fort St. James over the weekend of Jan. 7 to 9.
He is described as a Native youth who stands six feet tall, weighs about 165 pounds and has dark hair with a moustache. He is possibly wearing a white hoody with multiple colours.
Police are concerned that William is hiding with the belief he is in trouble and will be put in jail when police are only trying to confirm he is OK
