Hart Family Veterinary Clinic providing pet vaccinations June 23

Clinic will also give pet owners option to have tracking identification chip implanted
Vet managers
Office managers from the six veterinary clinics which make up the Prince George After-Hours Urgent Care Group have teamed up to provide monthly vaccination clinics to local pet owners. The next one is on June 23 at Hart Family Veterinary Clinic. Hey, pet owners, here’s a way to get your furry friend vaccinated and keep it from getting lost, all in one doctor's appointment.

On Friday, June 23rd, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., the Hart Family Veterinary Clinic is hosting a vaccination clinic by appointment only.

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is providing free microchips for the clinic that help reunite owners with their pets if they ever stray from their homes.

About the size of a grain of rice, the electronic code in the chip can be read by a scanner which displays a number to track the contact identification of the owner.

The chip is implanted in loose skin between the animal’s shoulder blades. Owners will have to pay the cost of implanting it.

The vaccination clinic is geared toward patients unattached to any veterinary clinic. Sick pets will not be seen to at that time.

To register for the clinic, call 250-962-7808 or email the office.
