Clothes are functional, clothes are stylish and clothes are also a fun way to stimulate fellowship and fundraising.

The Handy Circle Resource Society is an agency helping those in the Prince George community who have disabilities or special needs.

They wrap around their clients like a warm shawl or comfortable sweater.

Perhaps one or two of those will be on the stage this Sunday, along with the steady stream of the latest couture, as the annual Handy Circle Fashion Show unfolds.

The clients will be the models, in this unique fashion event.

All-local talent named Gary, Bari, Shirley, Brenda, Johanna, Stephenie and Donna May will show off the clothing.

The outfits are provided by Tip Top, Alia Tan Jay, Real Canadian Superstore, Northern Reflections, and The Bay.

There will also be a silent auction,

door prizes, refreshments and other features.

This is one of Handy Circle's most important annual events, so the hospitality is high.

The event takes place Sunday from

1-3 p.m. at 490 Quebec St. in the McGinnis Resource Centre.

Tickets are $10 each or $5 for those 65 years and older.

All money goes to the efforts and endeavors of this agency helping Prince George people in need since 1985.
