Hall moving to mayor's seat

Lyn Hall will remain at the city of Prince George council table, but this time, he'll be sitting in the mayor's seat. According to unofficial results, Hall beat opponent Don Zurowski with a tally of 10,463 votes to Zurowski's 8,850.

Lyn Hall will remain at the city of Prince George council table, but this time, he'll be sitting in the mayor's seat.

According to unofficial results, Hall beat opponent Don Zurowski with a tally of 10,463 votes to Zurowski's 8,850.

Incumbent councillors Brian Skakun, Murry Krause, Garth Frizzell, Albert Koehler and Frank Everitt also held on to their seats.

Voters looked for a little more diversity around the table, also electing first-timers Jillian Merrick, Terri McConnachie and Susan Scott.

The city also spoke out against fluoride on election night.

On the referendum question about eliminating chemical fluoride to the drinking water, the No side took the night, with 10,171 votes cast to stop the practice. The Yes side garnered 8,764 votes.
