Prince George firearms advocate Sheldon Clare has issued a call for photos of gun collections to use as evidence in a court case in Ontario.
Clare, who is president of Canada's National Firearms Association, said he issued the call Friday through the organization's Facebook page in response to a request the defendant's lawyer.
The defendant is "being taken to task, I suppose is the right phrase, for having a large collection of firearms among other things."
The lawyer is looking for evidence to show his client's collection is not out of the ordinary.
"I know many people who have large firearms collections but I'm looking for a wider net," Clare said.
Clare is asking for photos of both collections and gun rooms and neither the owner nor the firearms need to be identified.
They can be sent to [email protected] and they're needed by Wednesday.
