Shawn Mcleod is worried about a little boy in town who suffers from seizures that plague his three-and-half-year-old body.
Jacob McCarville has extreme seizures and the cause still remains a mystery to doctors.
McLeod would like the family to have one less thing to worry about and will hold a Guitar Wars fundraiser for the McCarville family at the Westwood Pub Thursday at 7 p.m. to cover increasing expenses associated with getting the answers the family needs to resolve Jacob's health issues.
"I have organized these events before and so I have put together the ultimate guitar wars with half-time show starring the Bushwhacker from Whitehorse," said Mcleod, who has personally donated $100 towards the prize money up for grabs during the guitar wars.
Several guitarists will play sets while judges and audience sit back and make the tough decision to see who is the best of the best. Cash prizes are $200 for first, $100 for second and $50 for third place.
"We're still looking for more guitarists to participate and registration is $10," said Mcleod.
Tickets for the event are $15 and includes the show, first beverage, and an entry ticket to win a quad.
"Jacob is so confused as to what is happening and takes all the tests like a champ, he is such a trooper," said Mcleod. "We just want some answers and see Jacob get better."
