A Smithers man pleaded guilty Friday to three charges related to the armed robbery of a College Heights bank earlier this month.

Jonathan Beaver Tattersall, 31, pleaded guilty to one count each of robbery with an imitation weapon, committing an indictable offense while masked and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.

Tattersall entered the pleas during an appearance in Prince George provincial court via video from Prince George Regional Correctional Centre.

He will be sentenced once a pre-sentence report with psychiatric and psychological components has been completed, a process expected to take six to eight weeks.

Tattersall remains in custody on a detention order.
