A lovely way to express your appreciation for Mom this Mother's Day weekend is to present her with a single bloom. A carnation to be exact - during the Multiple Sclerosis Society's 35th annual Carnation Campaign in Prince George Friday and Saturday.
In exchange for a donation to the society, each person will receive a carnation.
Last year the local chapter raised almost $5,000 and gave away 3,960 carnations.
On Friday keep a look out at Walmart from noon to 9 p.m., Pine Centre from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the Real Canadian Superstore from noon to 9 p.m.
Saturday the MS Society representatives will be at eight locations, including:
Walmart from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Tenth Avenue Liquor Store from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Spruceland Barber Shop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hart Shopping Centre Mall from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
College Heights Liquor Store from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Princess Auto from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Pine Centre Mall from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Real Canadian Superstore from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
