Group of females attack, rob on Redwood

A Prince George woman was sent to hospital after being beaten by a violent group of female robbers. The 35-year-old victim was jumped on Tuesday night at about 11:30 as she walked alone on Redwood Street not far from 20th Avenue.

The 35-year-old victim was jumped on Tuesday night at about 11:30 as she walked alone on Redwood Street not far from 20th Avenue.

"She was attacked by a group of four to five females," said Prince George RCMP spokeswoman Const. Lesley Smith. "The victim heard the suspects running on the pavement when she was suddenly jumped on and assaulted. The suspects kicked and punched the victim on the ground and stole an undisclosed amount of money from her pocket. The assault left the female in hospital with injuries to her face, head and ribs."

The victim did not know who the attackers were. Police are hoping someone in the public saw or heard of the incident and might have some information to help the investigation.
