One Prince George church has a dream to "bless hundreds of children in the city" through its Great Toy Giveaway.
Gateway Christian Ministries, 2055 20th Ave., is dedicating Dec. 18 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. as its Winter Wonderland Great Toy Giveaway for all students and their families from the Aboriginal Choice elementary school located in the heart of the city.
The plan is to provide sleigh rides, games, carnival booths, snacks and prizes prior to the finale when the children -- some of which often don't receive any gifts -- will be given a substantial gift.
The church is seeking sponsors to donate either funds (tax receipt available), gifts valued between $25 and $40, or items for the afternoon event. Online donations can be made at www.gatewaychristianministries.com.
