A spark from a power saw striking a nail was the source of a grass fire on Monday afternoon.
Located in the 4600 block of Zilkie Road, the fire had grown to 100-by-200-feet by the time Prince George Fire Rescue were on the scene, but it was quickly contained and doused.
There was no property damage or injuries, PGFR said. Firefighters were called to the scene at 3 p.m.
Burning within city limits is limited to recreational fires contained in a two-foot by two-foot pit. And only clean, seasoned and dry fire wood is to be used - no yard waste or debris can be burned.
