Goodsir Nature Park founder to receive B.C. award

Jim Good is one of 20 recipients of the BC Achievement Foundation's 2022 Community Award

Goodsir Nature Park founder Jim Good was one of 20 people awarded the BC Achievement Foundation’s 2022 Community Award.

Good single-handedly funded and built the 160-acre nature park, located roughly 30 kilometres north of Prince George.  Good has operated the park, which is open to the public by donation, for the past 30 years.

Goodsir Nature Park has been designated a Canadian Botanical Conservatory and includes walking trails, a naturalist museum and Good’s collection of hundreds of botanical species.

Good and his fellow recipients will be presented the award in a ceremony in Victoria on May 10, hosted by Lt.-Gov. Janet Austin. Each recipient will be presented a medallion designed by B.C. artist Robert Davidson.
