Still undecided about who should be elected to Prince George city council?
In its long tradition of learning, the Prince George Public Library has teamed up with The Citizen to offer residents an election research opportunity.
Tonight, voters have another chance to get face-to-face with council hopefuls with Candi-Dating.
Between 6:45 and 8:30 p.m., residents are invited to the Keith Gordon room in the Bob Harkins branch for a chance to "speed date" each candidate - ask questions and share issues for two minutes before moving on the next person.
Library staff will officiate the event, keep time and maintain a fun - but platonic - atmosphere.
For those who know who they're voting for, a second round of advanced polls open at 8 a.m. today. Ballots for Prince George mayor and city council and School District 57 trustee can be cast at city hall until 8 p.m.
Those eligible to vote for Regional District of Fraser-Fort George Electoral Area F and H and Bear Lake Community Commission directors can also vote that day at the regional district office at 155 George St. during the same hours.
The city and regional district use same-day registration. In order to cast a ballot, eligible voters must present two pieces of identification proving identity and place of residence, one of which must include a signature. Acceptable pieces include a B.C. drivers licence, Care Card, credit or debit card, Canadian passport, property tax notice, certificate of Indian status or a current utility bill with the elector's name and address.
On Thursday, the Prince George Chamber of Commerce is hosting an all-candidates' forum from 7 to 9 p.m. in the College of New Caledonia atrium.
Advance polls are also open Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., this time up the hill at UNBC in the Doug Little Lounge.
There are no advanced polls for regional district elections on Nov. 13.
