Representatives from Prince George Ford present a cheque to Spirit of the North Healthcare foundation for $25,000 Wednesday afternoon. Prince George Ford owner Pat Priestner is donating $200,000 to six local charities, as chosen by the Prince George Motors staff. Along with Spirit of the North, the Prince George Elizabeth Fry Society, 396 Royal Canadian Air Cadets, the Prince George Humane Society, the St. Vincent De Paul Society, and the Prince George Hospice Society are all receiving $25,000 each. A donation of $45,000 will also be given to the Prince George Branch of the Edgewood Foundation to help those battling with addictions and mental health issues. The Canadian Diabetes Association will receive $5,000.
