A rumour has been floating around that a giant flotilla of inflatables will ride the Nechako River current this summer.
The event is being advertised on Facebook for a July 24 push-off starting at Wilkins Park out in Miworth or at the Nechako Flats just past the Nechako trailer courts.
This would be an encore of last year's community float event. The idea of a mass float is not offensive to the RCMP or the Prince George Riverboat Association, but safety is a major concern for authorities and organizers alike.
