Want to sell, trade or even give away some of your unwanted or pre-loved stuff, but don't want the hassle of organizing your own garage sale?
Then you'll want to take part in the Junk in the Trunk sale next Saturday, Oct. 5 in the parking lot of CN Centre.
The sale is an initiative of the Fraser-Fort George Regional District and REAPS and is an opportunity to promote reuse and recycling so that less unwanted material ends up in the landfill.
"This is the perfect opportunity to unclutter your life. Your unwanted stuff may be exactly what someone else is looking for," said FFGRD waste diversion program leader Rachael Ryder.
"As they say, one person's trash is another's treasure."
Registered participants can sell their items directly from the trunks of their car.
"The idea is to provide a unique opportunity to people who wouldn't normally be able to host their own garage sale or yard sale, those that live in condos, apartments or simply have no yard. But it's not limited," Ryder said.
"Anyone who is interested in participating is more than welcome."
To book a stall or to get more information, contact REAPS at 250 561-7327 or the regional district at 250 960-4400. There is a $10 donation to book a stall, and left over items can be donated to AimHi.
The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
