There's a great reason to love Mondays if you're a bargain hunter at heart.

The Prince George Citizen Auctionmart starts taking bids Monday and the action won't stop until Monday, May 6.

Customers can save up to 45 per cent on products and services including a kitchen sink, an African Safari, a bike, golf packages, gym memberships, a maternity shoot, a wedding package, as well as a glamour shoot from professional photographers, and certificates for local restaurants.

Bidders interested in scoping out the deals can preview the loot now at www.princegeorgecitizen.com/auctions, with bidding going live on Monday.

Every registered bidder is automatically entered into a contest to win daily prizes that will be drawn at noon each day. Some of the prizes include gift certificates from a variety of restaurants, including Hummus Brothers Tapas Bar and tickets to the Faber Drive concert at the Prince George Playhouse.

In an effort to improve this year's online auction experience, Norm Coyne, promotions executive for the Prince George Citizen, said the Citizen has partnered with City Xpress and joined the long-running and well established AuctionMart network.

"This partnership will mean access to a wider selection of even more great deals and provide bidders with multi-market auction opportunities," said Coyne. "Everybody loves scoring a great deal. The Prince George Citizen AuctionMart gives bidders the opportunity to access incredible deals on their computers 24 hours a day from the comfort of their home or at work."
