A gangster who is facing deportation back to his country of birth at the end of this month is reportedly back in Prince George after he was released last week by immigration officials into the custody of his brother who also has ties to the city's gangs.

Francois (Frankie) Christiaan Meerholz, 23, who was picked up by Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) earlier this month on an outstanding deportation order, won the reprieve Thursday when his brother, Dillan, 20, agreed to post a $5,000 bond.

In granting the release, Immigration and Refugee Board adjudicator Daphne Shaw Dyck said Meerholz could return to Prince George where he must stay with his fiancee, Ashley Freake and his brother and imposed a number of conditions.

Francois Meerholz must report to a CBSA officer in Prince George on Monday and then every day until he is sent to his country of birth. The charges he is facing are expected to be stayed if he leaves Canada as scheduled.

Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass has confirmed both of the Meerholzes are linked to the Game Tight Soldiers (GTS) and the Renegades biker gang, a Hells Angels puppet club.

Douglass said Francois is a GTS member and wears the "bottom rocker" or a partial patch of the Renegades and Dillan is "at the bottom" of the GTS.
