Future Shop reopened as a Best Buy Saturday.
The city home electronics retailer, located at Brookwood Plaza off Highway 16, was among 131 stores shuttered across the country by parent U.S. firm Best Buy Co. on March 28. Of those, 65, including the Prince George location, were to be converted into a Best Buy.
In March, the firm said the closures will result in the loss of 500 full-time and 1,000 part-time jobs across Canada. A Best Buy spokesperson said some Prince George employees would be rehired and others would not.
