Three outlying communities will see funding renewed to help new immigrants improve their English language skills through one-on-one tutoring.

The English as a Second Language Programs in Valemount, Fort St. James and Houston will each receive $40,000, the provincial government said Tuesday.

The programs in Valemount and Fort St. Jaems are operated in partnership with the College of New Caledonia and the one in Houston is in partnership with Northwest Community College.
