Winter is here, in case you're still wondering.
Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Prince George as of 3:50 p.m. this afternoon.
An approaching warm front is expected to track across the B.C. interior tomorrow (Nov. 7).
"The warm air aloft combined with below zero temperatures at the surface will result in periods of freezing rain overnight into Thursday morning," the warning reads. "The freezing rain is expected to change to rain Thursday afternoon as temperatures rise above zero."
Surfaces such as roads, highways, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Take extra care when walking or driving in areas affected.
Environment Canada adds freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
