Cyclists will be able to ride Prince George buses for free during Go By Bike Week, May 29 to June 4.

Cyclists taking part in Go By Bike Week in Prince George will be able to ride city buses for free.

Go By Bike Week runs from May 29 to June 4.

“To qualify for free transit, customers taking part in Go By Bike Week must use the bus bike racks or show their bike helmet when boarding the bus,” a statement issued by BC Transit on Wednesday said. “All conventional BC Transit buses are equipped with bike racks on the front of the bus, making it easier for cyclists to combine two forms of sustainable transportation when travelling longer distances - or when the weather changes throughout the day and makes cycling less desirable than it was first thing in the morning.”

Most bicycles will fit on BC Transit buses, but spaces are limited. More information about using BC Transit bike racks is available online.
