A woman believed to be using a number of identities is wanted by police for an interview.
The woman's true name is not known by investigators but she is thought by police to have used the identity of Michal (pronounced Michelle) Anne Peters, Gina Berg and Gene or Genie Balanik.
The pictured person is a suspect in crimes related to identity theft, although so far they are allegations only.
"In the last two years, the suspect has been in the Prince George area," said Prince George RCMP Media Liaison Officer Cpl. Craig Douglass although recent information has led officers to believe that she may have left the community. She has a history in the Fort St. John area and may have returned there, and other information suggests Alberta as another possibility.
"The person in the picture is arrestable, although we do not know the individual's true name," Douglass said. "There are grounds to believe that this person committed a crime and is wanted by police. We cannot say this person did the crime, but there is a need to investigate this person.
The unknown woman is described as a Caucasian female, approximately 25 to 35 years old, 68 cm (5'6") tall, 59 kg (131 lbs) in weight, with brown hair and brown eyes and multiple piercings in her ear.
She is described by witnesses, including police members who have had brief contact with her, as very outgoing and easy to speak to.
If you have any information about this person or her whereabouts, please contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca or 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
