Four election races in regional district

Voters will be going to the polls in four out of seven electoral areas in the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George on Nov. 19. The nomination period for candidates closed on Friday, and four electoral areas have more than a single candidate.

The nomination period for candidates closed on Friday, and four electoral areas have more than a single candidate.

Regional district chairperson Art Kaehn, vice-chairperson Terry Burgess and director Kevin Dunphy will go unchallenged in their areas and will be acclaimed to

office.

The candidates seeking election in each area are:

Electoral Area A (Salmon River-Lakes):Warren Wilson (incumbent), Nancy Harris .

Electoral Area C (Chilako River-Nechako):Lara Beckett (incumbent), Bill Norton.

Electoral Area D (Tabor Lake-Stone Creek): Bill Empey, Claudette Currie, Shawn Creelman.

Electoral Area E (Hixon-Woodpecker):Art Kaehn (incumbent).

Electoral Area F (Willow River-Upper Fraser): Kevin Dunphy (incumbent).

Electoral Area G (Crooked River-Parsnip): Terry Burgess (incumbent).

Electoral Area H (Robson Valley-Canoe):Ken Starchuck (incumbent), Don Smith, Nathalie Olson.

Bear Lake Community Commissioners (four positions):

Sharon Waldner, Bruce Waldner, Herb Franklin, Wayne Rose.
