A Fort St. James man, Martin Lee Murdock, was last seen near the Stuart River on Thursday evening.
His disappearance since then has caused family, friends and police concern.
"A search of the area using RCMP aircraft as well as local Search And Rescue was completed and unsuccessful," said Fort St. James RCMP spokesman Cpl. Greg Redl.
The public is asked for any and all help if anyone knows of his whereabouts or any activities after Thursday evening.
Murdock, 34, is described as a First Nations male, six foot, 170 pounds, with a dark complexion, brown eyes and short black hair with stubble on his face. He also wears glasses.
Anyone seeing Murdock or having any information regarding his location is asked to call the Fort St. James detachment of the RCMP at 250-996-8269.
