Prince George has lost one of its prominent pioneer architects and city planners.
Desmond John Parker died May 3 following a lengthy illness at Parkside Care Home where he resided. He was 79.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Michael's and All Angels Church.
Born in Australia, Mr. Parker came to Prince George in 1957 where he practiced architecture for 50 years.
