The death of a Cariboo forestry worker will be the subject of a coroner's inquest.
The BC Coroners Service announced that there will be a probe into the incident that killed Charles Henry Engelbert who died on April 17, 2010, one day after being critically injured while falling trees on a forestry worksite in a remote area near Likely.
The Williams Lake Courthouse will host the proceedings from Feb 13 to 17 starting each day at 9 a.m.
"Presiding coroner Tom Pawlowski and a jury will hear evidence from subpoenaed witnesses to determine the facts surrounding this death," said a written statement from the BC Coroners Service. "While the jury may not, by law, make any findings of legal responsibility, it will have the opportunity to make recommendations aimed at preventing deaths under similar circumstances in the future."
