Prince George RCMP are investigating the theft of football equipment from a storage bin located at the Prince George secondary school practice field.
Sometime during the late evening hours of last Wednesday or the early Thursday morning, thieves broke in to the large steel container andĀ  stole footballs, helmets, shoulder pads first aid kids, ice packs agility ladders, coaching bags and stationery supplies.
It's believed the equipment belongs to the Prince George Minor Football Association.
PGMFA junior bantam team coach Mike Rositano told The Citizen that during the Prince George Polars high school team practice at the same field on Tuesday an individual on a bike rode off with three backpacks belonging to the players and got away with one of those packs.
Police are hoping anyone with knowledge of these incidents or who might have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area of the field or adjacent Masich Place Stadium will come forward with that information, which will eventually lead to the arrest of the culprits.
