Enough food to feed an army. That's what one day of donations brought in April 6 for the Salvation Army Food Bank in a food drive organized by Save-On Foods and sponsored by Campbell Company of Canada, makers of Campbell's soup.

Enough food to feed an army.

That's what one day of donations brought in April 6 for the Salvation Army Food Bank in a food drive organized by Save-On Foods and sponsored by Campbell Company of Canada, makers of Campbell's soup.

Donors contributed 2,204 kilograms of food and $2,063.31 in cash to stock the shelves of the Prince George Food Bank, which helps put food on the table in 250 city homes each day and supports Operation Hunger Relief, which provides more than 70 meals per day to the city's less fortunate citizens.

The Salvation Army operates the largest infant food bank in northern B.C., provided diapers and baby formula to 706 recipients in 2012.
