Five For Friday: The Griswold Christmas houses of Prince George

Lights, camera, Christmas!

Christmas is just around the corner so we thought we would share some of the most festive houses in town!

We all know that Candy Cane Lane is great, but where are the must-see Christmas houses throughout Prince George?

When we set out on our search to find our very own Clark Griswolds, Prince George did not disappoint!

Here are some of the best Christmas houses to check out this season:

3651 Westwood Dr.

Candy canes, Christmas trees, icicles, snowmen, hockey players, Santa on the roof – this house submitted by Niki Veller has a true bounty of Christmas decorations. Those who love Christmas to the extreme should stop by Westwood Drive to take in everything about this glorious Christmas display.

6070 Buckhorn Lake Rd.

This house in Buckhorn has everything a great Christmas display needs. Lights, lights and more lights! There are trees decorated, there are glowing reindeers, and the Christmas magic is glowing!

4188 Nehring Ave.

This Christmas Grinch display was submitted by Denae Smith, who has been working on it for the last four years. All of the characters were drawn, cutout and hand-painted by Smith and her family.

10025 South Heights Rd.

This house submitted by Robert Shaw is one for the record books. The display has approximately 12,000 lightbulbs, 80 separate channels, and 5,000 feet of extension cords to enable the whole display to dance to the music that plays over the FM radio channel. The show starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 9:30 p.m. Just head on over and tune into 104.1 FM.

8135 Malaspina Ave.

This house on Malaspina represents how great an understated display can be. The lights illuminate the entire front of the house, which acts as a backdrop for a great Christmas scene. Extra points for the Christmas wreath made entirely out of lights.

Have we missed any spectacular Christmas houses that we should absolutely know about? If so, email us at news@princegeorgematters.com as soon as possible!
