School trustee hopefuls square off tonight during a public forum for their spot on the next board.
The forum will feature all 18 candidates, who are vying for seven positions, meaning less than half will be elected to the next board. Last year's board saw five new faces fill the seven spots. The forum, hosted by The Citizen, CBC Radio and CNC, starts at 7 p.m. at the College of New Caledonia, room 1-306.
The Citizen, in conjunction with UNBC, CKPG and the Prince George Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a mayoral forum on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Canfor Theatre at UNBC. CKPG will be rebroadcasting the forum to its viewers on Nov. 11.
The Citizen has partnered with the Prince George Public Library to host Candi-Dating, a "speed dating" format that will allow residents a two-minute one-on-one "date" with individual mayor and city council candidates to ask questions. That event will go from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the Bob Harkins branch of the library.
