Provincial and national First Nations groups have banded together to demand the federal government reject Taseko's proposed $800-million Prosperity mine in central B.C.

Provincial and national First Nations groups have banded together to demand the federal government reject Taseko's proposed $800-million Prosperity mine in central B.C.

The federal government is expected to make a decision on the project by the end of next week.

The project already has B.C. government approval, but a recent federal panel has said the mine would result in significant adverse environmental effects. Federal cabinet's approval is necessary for the project to proceed.
