One person was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire erupted in a 1700-block Gorse Street home on Thursday afternoon.
Called to the scene at about 4 p.m., Prince George Fire Rescue personnel found thick black smoke coming out the front and side doors but were able to contain the fire to the kitchen.
All of the home's occupants were outside upon their arrival.
Damage is estimated at $50,000.
In all, 15 firefighters from three halls were called to the scene.
Earlier the same day, at 7:15 a.m. PGFRS was called out to a shed fire at a 1400-block McCullagh Avenue home.
The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries.
