The training exercises are expected to run from 7 a.m. to noon, and dark smoke coming from the airport area may be visible, a statement issued by the airport on Thursday said.

“Locals are reminded these fires pose no threat to the public or surrounding areas. These fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances and are part of ongoing recurrent fire training and certification,” the statement said.
