A fire broke out in a 1600-block 11th Avenue home on Monday morning.
In all, 15 firefighters from three halls were called to the scene shortly before 8 a.m., Prince George Fire Rescue said.
They found smoke and flames in the rear of the home. The fire was quickly extinguished but not before the home suffered substantial damage.
The home's two occupants got out safely, with one leaving the scene prior to firefighters' arrival.
The cause of the fire is suspicious, PGFR said, and crews remained on the scene late Monday morning to help with the investigation.
