A home in the VLA suffered extensive damage in a fire on Thursday morning.
A total of 15 fire fighters from three halls converged on 2150 Norwood St. in response to a call at 7 a.m.
They arrived to fined flame coming out the roof but the home's single occupant and a dog were able to escape while firefighters rescued a second dog.
"The crews were able to knock the fire down but there was extensive damage to the structure," Prince George Fire Rescue asst. chief Dan Pears said.
