There was a fire reported Saturday at about 6:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Redwood St.
Three Prince George Fire Rescue crews responded.
The first crew to arrive found an older single story home with light smoke coming from a basement window.
Crews got inside to extinguish a mattress fire in the basement bedroom.
This structure was vacant. There were no injuries to crews and damage was minimal.
This fire is under investigation.
