Fire on Norwood

Prince George Fire Rescue crews from three halls responded late Wednesday morning to a house fire in the VLA. Called at 11:40 a.m. to the 2200 block of Norwood Street, they found heavy smoke coming from the home but quickly extinguished the fire.

Prince George Fire Rescue crews from three halls responded late Wednesday morning to a house fire in the VLA.

Called at 11:40 a.m. to the 2200 block of Norwood Street, they found heavy smoke coming from the home but quickly extinguished the fire.

The home's occupants were outside by the time firefighters arrived and there were no injuries.

Damage is estimated at $80,000 and the cause of the blaze was under investigation.
